This 1950s formal dress would be perfect for a party or a wedding. The embroidery is so pretty - gold metallic threads combining with white to create flowers with leaves and vines over a nylon ivory chiffon. The shelf bust is very flattering - Pleated netting over ivory acetate satin, with a velvet bow and long tails at the center. It's boned in the front and the back, with a white metal zipper up the left side. The embroidered layer is lined with netting and covers a double layered ruffled crinoline which then covers a satin ivory under skirt. You could add a petticoat if you like more volume. There is a slight difference in color between the bodice and the skirt. The bodice is ivory and the skirt is a light gray, like oyster gray, over an ivory satin under skirt. No maker's label.
